COPPELL (AP) – Retail gasoline prices across Texas have declined 6 cents this week to settle at $2.15 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reports the nationwide average price slipped 7 cents this week to reach $2.37 per gallon.

Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $2.01 per gallon. The association survey found drivers in El Paso are paying the most statewide at $2.40 per month.

AAA experts say consumers nationwide, compared to last year’s summer driving season, are currently paying an average 89 cents less per gallon. That seasonal time frame is typically Memorial Day to Labor Day.
